haven't posted surf shots in awhile. thought i'd share these. comments most welcome.

Excellent trio of shots, although I'd consider cloning the figure top left in the first shot?

Man, I love the water color over there. Did you take these from land or water? And what focal length?

thanks all for the compliments and advice.

lesmac, you're absolutely right. i'll watch for stuff like that in the future. thanks.

bobbyz, i took these from land, and used a 600L IS and cropped heavy. from the vantage point i was shooting from which is off to the side of the wave, there's opportunities to crop the shots in such a way as to make it look like they were shot from the water.

manoverboard, ikelsi, yeeeup, the track of the surfboard coming from inside the tube and then flaring into the air is what interested me in this shot as it did you. it's one of the advantages of being able to shoot from that angle.

beano, when the waves come in from the right direction at this surf spot, getting shacked there is pure joy as the way the wave pitches over leaves lots of room to get covered such that you come out of the tube as dry as you went in.;)
