S1IS Problems

I am new to this forum so hopefully I am not posting in the wrong place. I have a Powershot S1IS that was working a couple of days ago but now my screen and viewfinder are black. It is like the lens cover is on. I can read all the info around the screen but can not see anything to take a picture. I reformatted the cf card but that did not work. Any help would be appreciated, I still have it under warranty, I was just hoping this might be a simple fix. Thanks, Mike

go to the canon website, there is a service advisorary for your camera, call the 800# or email them, they will walk you through it and have you fixed up in no time.
