Aww...hes so handsome. You just gotta love those brown eyes. I think this picture is very good but could use a little oomph. Since you had image editing on I played with it. Lemme know if you want, and I will take it down. Im still very new to pp but I love to practice soooo.....I brightened with a curves adjustment, boosted contrast, lightened the eyes, sharpened with USM and then converted one to b&w.

i really like the second one im still very much a novice in post processing i will have to try those techniques and see if i can match the results. the second onethere is defintely what i was hoping for but didnt quite get

Your image is tack sharp and a great composition. I love these extreme closeups. Your picture does need a bit of a boost though. I thought a contrast boost would do it but it didn't. I've smoothed the skin some, warmed it a bit, added some contrast, and made the eyes pop a bit more. And after all that it doesn't look much different from yours.

Here is another one from the same day, hence the same shirt :P, tried playing with some of the settings to bring it out some. it is a little grainy i think, but cant seem to do much about that.
