First time shooting softball at the higher level (varsity) as it's Spring Break and the baseball team I coach practiced early. Team in grey is my home town, had a 6-2 lead but ended up losing 8-6. All with IIn + 300, which was almost to long for this sport it seems, started off perfect overcast and ended a lil' dark with the clouds and definately FREEZING! EXIF embedded.

#1 - Starting pitcher for the other team...complete game.

#2 - LF'er throwing it in, got the whole series - crow hop and all hair flying all over the place.

#3 - Watchin a hit...though I understand for safety purposes these darn helmets are not fun to shoot through with that mask.

#4 - Would the owner of a white pickup truck with a 4-wheeler in the back and blue truck the opposite it please move your vehicles, you're ruining my backgrounds....SS checks the runner at first after taggin to late.

#5 - IDK if this works - thoughts? Shooting the 1st baseman holdin her on I saw it and thought why not try to get it, runner and pitcher blurred a bit and the focus perfect on the first baseman.

#6 - Home town pitcher on the ...umm....hill? What do the call it in softball? It's not a mound, it's not a hill - dirt circular area of pitching occurance? I coached the sport for a high school and don't remember any nicknames for it.

#7 - CF'er tracks one down, another series - backpeddaled to catch and came up throwing....

#8 - ...just like this.

What do the call it in softball?

Circle. Instead of on the mound it is in the circle

The pictures look good. I think the one with the focus on the first with the pitcher and runner, works. Good Photo journalist look.

Actually, the minimum security prison is right behind the school and during phys ed. outside you can hear there loud speaker making announcements (barely but can). During HS we saw our field being surrounded by State Troopers, a guy had escaped even though he had like 5 months left, now years maximum for escaping, but long story short - yes prison team, ha.

Scott, this weekend might be a wash - I got about 50 or so before the rain hit tonight and it might not get much better for the baseball at least, oh well.

As for 5, still out on that one to...

I'm watchin baseball on TV and thats about it - the game was played today but rainy and 40 degrees = not the pics I want. The kid I need will pitch again on Thursday so hopefully by then the weathers better.
