Good photo taking vacation

Hello everyone, my husband and I are planning a vacation for the end of June or early July. We want to go somewhere that will give us tons of photo
opportunity's. We are from PA and are looking to stay in a 5-6 hour radius. So we would be looking at PA, WV, Virginia, New York, Ohio or Maryland. Anyone have any good suggestions of a good place to look into?

If you like the to take out door shots the Shenandoah Valley or the blue ridge parkway is suppose to be very pretty. The valley is a big state (or national not sure) park. And the blue ridge parkway starts at the bottom of the valley and goes throw va and nc (can't remember where it stops).

Consider Cook Forest, on the Clarion River and just north of I-80 and the town of Clarion, in NW PA... Amish country, right here in PA... Washington DC isn't too bad... Any of the major cities wouldn't lack subjects... The boardwalk and sand dunes of the New Jersey shore could be good too...

I'd consider water and shorelines, geographical vistas, nature trails, as the better places for getting a variety of captures.

Calling chamber's of commerce for local info helps too.
