OK, here's my situation. I have a D200 with an 18-135 kit lens and I'm ready to get some serious glass. So i find myself on the cusp of making the commitment to Nikon if I drop that kind of money into a system; whereas i could still sell the D200 (taking a hit no doubt) and switch to canon. Why would i do that? Because i eventually want to move to a FF body (probably sooner than later as i shoot a bit of landscape an architecture) and the 5D is roughly half the price of the D3. So what should i do? There are adapters that allow you to attach a Nikon lens to a canon EOS mount, but from what I've read it has limitation with auto focus and aperture readings and so forth. So i find myself considering a 40D and some nice L lenses until I can afford the 5D or its predecessor, or stick with my D200 until Nikon puts out a FF body in the price class of the 5D, which I'm not sure is even in the works, although it may be. I like the image Quality of the D200 for what it is, but seem to be getting the idea that on the whole canon takes the edge in that department (arguably no doubt) but really like the build quality of Nikon. SO! any help would be appreciated. An objective view would be most helpful. I have a headache already from all the Nikon vs Canon dueling. Both are first class! Thanks.
