C'mon, I know you've been thinking it, now say it! You do not have to hail from the Lone Star State to speak the truth, or to tease us that do! ;)

#1 ... Dairy Queen in Texas serves crazy stuff like the Chili-Cheese Crunch Hungr-Buster.

EDIT: OH my, they changed the image to the new Jalitos Ranch Hunger Buster!! Another reason to love TEXAS' version of DQ!! :D

My college dorm cafeteria used to serve similar to this back in the early 1980s...

Precisely what I was thinking.

You can always tell a Texan. You just can't tell them anything.

Best reason to be a Texan? You're next door to God's Sweetest Creation: Louisiana.

I was in San Antonio for a week, two weeks ago.

I loved it. People were polite, "Sir and Ma'am" all over the place. It is still a place of chivalry and good courtesy. Cost of living was easier than in the Bay Area. Meat all over the place...beats tofu and parsley from over here...LOL I'm seriously considering relocating. However, tornadoes and hurricanes have me sort of spooked and I didn't take it likely when I heard a deputy was held up at gun point while washing his police cruiser...that's bold.

Don't forget the Basketball, The Spurs/Mavs rivalry was very present while I was there. Hey, Corgi, aren't you what they call down there a "transplant"? LOL

Is that how many calories are in that burger!?!?

You can get the nutritional facts from the link provided on all of their regular menu items. This big monstrosity is not listed.

However, we can start with the other items and interpolate:
Hungr-Buster: 500 calories
with cheese: 570
Extra Long Hot dog: 490
With chilli and cheese: 680
(Difference: 190)
2oz bag of Fritos: 320 calories (INFO SOURCE (external link))

So the math is:
500 Hungr-Buster
190 Chilli and Cheese
320 Fritos
===============
1010 Calories

Yep. 1000 reasons to love Texas.

Wife: "Does eating fast food make my Texas look big?"
Wrong answer: "No bigger than usual."
