RIP Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Oh, and that burger is in no way Weight Watchers approval list.

And 00SilverGT, you prefer earthquakes to tornadoes and hurricanes? I'm from your neck of the woods (in fact we are probably both looking at the smoke from the same fire right now), and I know. At least we don't have an earthquake SEASON every year.

Yes, I prefer one "incident" every 10-20 years than something I get to "look forward to" every year. Smoke? really? I was in SF at work most of the day. Glad to meet another POTNer from this side of the world/country!

I guess all of the smoke from the fire came our way (Contra Costa County) from the Sherman Island fire. It's just on the other side of the Antioch bridge.
Highway 160 runs through it.
Gee, lucky us.

I'm not a Texan, but I've been to Texas twice, and everytime I've brought up football to a Texan, I've pretty much made a friend for life. I'm a NY'er and proud of it, but if I had a choice to move anywhere in the world, my first choice would be Texas. Big and beautiful, hospitable and proud... Qualities you want in a state and it's people.

Yeah, I'm the other side of the hills from you...wow dude, I hope everything is ok...anyway back to Texas! LOL Yes, no income tax, that alone is tempting me to go...especially after seeing what I just gave Arnee and his people! Funny that California has the worse roads in the country and the highest gas prices. A flashback from the Arsenio Hall show days, "Things that make you say, 'Hmmmmm'."

Wow, I move to Nevada from Texas and y'all come up with 1000 reasons to be back there!

Tornado season isn't so bad - especially for those in the hill country and the most easternly parts of the state. Now West Texas - we're from Lubbock - every house should have a storm cellar!

Rebel XTi, 18-55mm kit, Canon 50mm f/1.4 USM, Tamron 70-300/f4-5.6, Canon 55-250/f4-5.6 IS

Looking for tips, comments, critique, and in general help! :D

Storm cellar, huh? Maybe we should have earthquake cellars here in California?

I don't know about that, but like California, there sure a lot of Mexicans "escaping" to Texas...:p;)

How did I not rank this #1? Great call! ;)

Blue Bell is fantastic and they say "its because the cows think Brenham is heaven"! :D

If anyone wants to try it, all US locations of Outback Steakhouse carry and serve it in their desserts.

(Although sometimes I wish McCoy would grow a pair and quit second guessing himself.)

I couldn't agree more. If he hadn't gotten crushed in that KSU (I think) game year before last, they may have gone the distance, though the D would have failed eventually.
