#13 ... Texas spawned the greatness that is What-a-burger! It also was made an official state icon a few years back!

BTW, jalapenos are optional on all burgers! ;)

#14 ... In New Braunfels, a slide named the "schlitterbahn" (a german word meaning 'slippery road') evolved into a waterpark chain. One location is now in Kansas. They actually were the first to create a ride using pumped water to simulate surfing!

#15 ... It's great to be in a place that is so loved by it's citizens. An interesting quote I found from an IMAX movie about Texas reads, "81% of Texans believe in Heaven. 92% believe they’re already there".

I couldn't agree more. If he hadn't gotten crushed in that KSU (I think) game year before last, they may have gone the distance, though the D would have failed eventually.

It was KSU. He pulled the same crap when they faced off last season. I just want to kick him in the arse sometime (most times). I think I just miss Vince too much.

Unlike the Kingdom of Hawaii united under King Kamehameha.

Or the Republic of New Connecticut founded in 1777.

Or in 1846 when in Sonoma the Republic of California existed for 30-days after revolting against Mexico.

Not to mention all those pesky Native American nations who were here before all of that.

No doubt. So far, I am not too happy with the D in the post-Gene Chizik era. Then again, the D played pretty poorly in the last 2-3 games of Gene's last season too.

McCoy needs to follow his instincts more. Last season he sat back there with the ball so stinking long, its a wonder he's still alive!

Yeah, well, they rebelled against Mexico and then "decided" to join the US when the US military showed up. I wonder what the "exit strategy" is for the US in Sonoma?

You forgot about The Peoples Republic of Berkeley. And it's still there.
