Back home after 8 months in the South Pacific...in Tahiti every 10days...we traveled to Tahiti Iti, the smaller of the 2 Tahitian Islands and witnessed the power of Teahupoo...legendary for its waves and the Billabong surf competition (which we missed)..

this is my first go at surf... these are all taken out of a sequence...i figured it'd a been too much to put the full surf sequence all on...

C&C welcome...

Great shots... Isn't this the place where Laird Hamilton caught the "heaviest wave" ever surfed?

actually Teahupoo is kinda funky... theres a path directly inbetween two wave breaks...

its almost like it was made for boats to be situated perfectly for pictures...

i was in a boat... we paid a dude at a marina 30bucks to take us out for an hour...best 30bucks ever spent!!!

the whole scenery around there is unreal...
