First Bug Macro

Well i have been looking through this section of the forum lurking around and getting inspired to take macro and bug pics. At present i dont have a macro lens but i thought i would give it a go any how.

cought this little critter and put him in the fridge to cool off so he would sit still for me (as i dont have a macro flash either) this means i get a little more time of him sitting still before he warms up under the lamp i use and buzzes off.

Well he warmed up after a few minutes and then went and sat on the rim of the lamp (very considerate of him) so i shot away and got one or two in focus. Lots of playing in DPP to get the image up to where it is now, but i am rather chuffed with it. - next time i will dust the inside of the lamp shade to give me a cleaner background :D

i used a 300D with 3 extension tubes and my 18-55 canon lens
