hello all this was taken earlier this morning (only shot i got around to editing thus far, any advice would be welcome, especially on pp

The first one is not bad. The whites are blown out a little but not a problem. The second one has the highlights blown out. Check your histogram for the spikes. If you shot in raw you can recover most of it. Being blown out it makes the image soft to me.

yeah i shoot raw...these past two weekends ive decided i HATE black or white uniforms, thanks for the input

I know what you mean. It is almost impossible not to blow out part of a white uniy while keeping the face exposed properly.

i find black jerseys to be more of a pain...almost impossible to capture any detail what-so-ever. i dunno, these images seem somewhat soft to me...do they look that way to anyone else? its just not quite what i was expected from the f/4L
