Do your images meet the 800 x 800 size limitation?

The insert image button doesn't seem to work, and right clicking doesn't yield anything either.

are you trying to display an image from a photo hosting site or attach directly to your post?

I thought the size had been increased to 1024 x 1024?

If the Insert Image button doesn't work perhaps you have a popup blocker enabled in your browser?

Edit: Scrap that, if the Insert Image doesn't work, it's probably because you have Javascript disabled in your browser. To fix this (in Internet Explorer) go Tools >> Internet Options and click the Security tab. Make sure the Internet zone is selected and click the "Custom level" button. Scroll towards the bottom and click the "Enable" radio button under Scripting - Active Scripting

you may be right. it has been a long time since I have tried to attach an image directly to a post. I usually link direct from my webserver or a hosting site.

The pixel size limit has been increased to 1024 px on the longest side, but you also have to make sure that the photo is less than 150kb in file size before attaching to the post.

Thanks for your help, still can't get it to function in Explorer but it works just fine in Mozilla. I must have some settings wrong. Anyway can any one recommend a good site to put my photos on.

Here's a shot one early morning at Fox Glacier in New Zealand

Thanks for looking.

Nice shot.

And about a site, depends on you wanting to spend money or not. Free sites are Flicker & Photobucket, but have limited storage. Then you have pay sites like Smugmug and Zenfolio. Here is a link to a more complete list of sites.

If you want to do Smugmug, you can save $5 using this code: 8vRk8IQHDdpPI
Just copy and paste ;)
