Can anyone recommend any good books that would help a beginner?

I heard that Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson, anyone have this book? Is it good?

I have the Field Guide to the Rebel XTi 400D book.

You have just named the most reccommended book! Understanding exposure is good. There is a thread or sticky with a lot of book reccommendations somewhere...
