Nope...being complete wouldbe owning ALL L lenses! However I think that'd be a excessive! A 1D MkII with a 400mm L IS would do me for the moment!

I must stop buying, I just brought a Canon 15mm fisheye 3 hrs ago.

My next target is 135mm f/2L. But I don't really need it.

Yeah, I just started posting here about a month ago. I'm a serious amateur and so I'm not planning on making any money off what I do. That being said, since I've come here I've become infactuated with those L's in everyone's signature. That 17-40L is sooo tempting.

Two months ago I didn't even know these lenses existed, now it seems I can't live w/o one...

Keep your 10D and focus on glass for now. Wait till you OUTGROW the 10D before upgrading...

If you do that.. then by the time you upgrade, either the 20D will be cheap used.. or you can get the next gen or two after the 20D.

I'll also agree with this!

Your needs may be different but as much as I'd like to have a 20D I didn't see enough of an upgrade to chuck the 10D and that $1500 sure can buy some nice lenses and other accessories and WHEN I do upgrade to something else (might even be a 20D at the end of its run), I'll have a nice collection of lenses that I can continue to use.

I think it's the lense selection that will give the best results, not just upgrading the body everytime a new one comes out.

Toogy,

With SLRs, it always seems that the best shot of your life is hiding inside the next item on your wish list.

Welcome to the addiction - er... club.

Next item on my wish list: A used 1D...

Have Fun,

Rick

Think I am going to get the 20D

I figure I can sell my 10D for $850-$1000 on ebay which will leave me about $500 more to get the 20D, not bad really.

Thanks for all your thoughts guys.
