Haha, I was wondering if that was Edison when I first saw it too. Went here once years back right after it opened.

In any action sports photography, at the least try to include the landing. Take-off is optional (still somewhat mandatory) but the landing is mandatory. Leave nothing to the imagination ("did that skater fall into a spike pit after that 8 set?!")

Also keeping the horizon straight is another big thing in skate photography unless you're shooting vert/pool with a fisheye.

Nah, but come down to riverton/palmyra/cinnaminson. We have a pretty sick riding town, and a sick set of DJ's. Also, judging by your screen name, you like blink 182. Rock on! If you ever see me, I'll be riding a stolen heater in purple with a black hoodie, with the blink smiley on the back.

Shoot me a PM, and I can set up a sesh with some other locals.

#1 would be VERY nice with some fill flash,
get a 430EX or 580EX II and just to start use it on camera, for fill flash

hm, well i liked the silhoettyness, so it was kinda intentional for NO fill flash. Even if, a flash isnt in the budget at the moment >_< Teenage photographer...no money...lemonade stands dont generate much lol

If I were you, and if you are interested in skate photography, just go straight to a Vivitar 285HV or Sunpak 383 and grab a Cactus Trigger/Receiver set. Good flash setup for just like $120. Plus, on-camera stuff in action sports photography is usually only used in conjunction with off-camera flashes.
