Here's a shot from a club power league tournament earlier this month in Salinas, CA.

The photo is of the Libero returning a spike. The thin red line behind the Libero is the court line.

Any c&c would be most welcome!

Your first post since you joined POTN Oct 2006? What gives? ;)

I think it's a great shot. I shoot VB myself and I know what a challenge this can be. Share some others from the front row!

What body/lens/settings are you using?

Nice

A Libero shot in focus, and well framed. I'm jealous. Did you just fix on her for a while?

Next time could you get her to face the camera more? And maybe change the wall color to make her jersey stand out more.?

IF you've cropped this, I'd leave a little more space to the right of the ball. IF its not cropped, dang nice capture.

jdaly, he's waited that long to post to get a good libero shot, after shooting for two years. None of my libero shots to date are worth posting, barely worth keeping. And I try to get good shots of ours

shooting club VB and club soccer, hoping to get back to landscape work soon.

I shoot a good bit of High School volleyball- the Libero shots are the hardest to get. Hits are easy- position yourself well, pay attention to the net, and everything will happen in a predictable space. It is much harder to predict which defensive player will get the first hit. Kudos to you on a great shot!

Here are a few that I was lucky enough to get-

I really don't want to hijack your thread, but how about if we ask to see more- Post your best Libero shots?

Say the word & I will remove this- as noted- your thread!

Start a new thread for that and I'll join in. Well, if I can find some good ones that is... ;)

Thanks for the nice replies. The shot is from the 40d with 85 mm at f1.8 at 1/500 ss. The added Libero shots are fantastic!
I think it may be the hardest position to photo. Keep em coming!
