The MkII lasts easily 3 times as long on a single charge.. closer to 4 times in my expeirence (approx 1200 shots minimum on a charged conditioned batt) I don't find IS having much impact at all.. it menas the difference between 1200-1400 or more shots Vs. 1100-1200 shots.

I will settle for 600, with the Tamron I got about 60 shot and my battery was dead and I fully charged it in the AM.


MKII N-Canon 20D - Tamron 90MM F2.8 Macro -
