20d, I think ‘ya done good.

What is the intended use of your photos? Glossy magazines or sold to stock agencies? Printed for at home display or just sent to family members via email?

If the latter, then differences of 2.8 prime gives you will not matter all that much, while saddling you with 200mm which would wind up what seems like limited usage. At least the 2.8 zoom gives you multiple low-light and image stabilized focal lengths for the outlay.

The 300 f4 has gotten great reviews.

I see you went with the 2x Extender. I would have gotten 2 and 1.4 to see which one does it for you and return the one that does not.

Thanks Savas K.

I already have the 1.4x and have been using it for a couple of years with my 70-200mm F4L IS and non-IS lenses. I could see no noticeable difference.

My photos are for parents that hire me. I do individual and team photos but I also shoot action shots a several games for them as well. At this point, mostly soccer but it looks like baseball as well this season. I try to make enough to pay off my lens/gear purchases.

I might try that line of work as well. Good luck with your new gear. Try to report back after you have had a chance to work with it. I am very interested in a 70-200 plus TC option.
