Lightroom: Exported jpeg's muted

Hello,

I have been using Lightroom for over a year now, and am very comfortable with most of its features and menu items. My prints come out reasonably well, despite the fact that I only have an HP 7450.

I have been exporting my RAW files as jpegs, with sRGB color space and then emailing the files to my family in Europe. They have liked the pictures but have told me that the colors look muted.

The exported files look just the same as in LR on my home computer, so I checked by looking at the files on my daughter’s laptop, where all the colors looked significantly muted. I looked at the exported files on several other computers (work, friends’, etc.,) and the problem was the same.

My monitor has been calibrated, and as I said earlier, my prints do come out matching what I see in LR. What should I do to get my exported jpgs to look like the LR versions?

Calibrate the others' displays...

Sounds like you've done all you can do.
There will always be a difference between how a color managed program displays an image vs. a non-color managed program. If you are viewing on an uncalibrated monitor that adds another variable.
