I converted an old d30 I had laying around to infrared(a couple guys in the EOS forum were very helpful).

Here are a few of the latest test shots. So I guess they are experimental.

C&C very welcome from comp to post

Agree with previous poster but I also like the B&W version #4

Welcome to the world of IR! Looks like your area is still missing leaves too.

The B&W's look the best because your colors have too much magenta in them.

What PP are you doing on the RAW's?

Canon -> A1, 1D (gone), G10, XT IR, 7D and some glass of various lengths and colors

Here is another thing to try out - There is no right or wrong way with False Colour IR and it varies depending on the subject matter and also the colour balance when converting from raw. Anyway this is a simple one that can work sometimes:

Open the coverted image in PS (this one I had converted with LR and had used a cutom white balance)

opsss . same post carried on:

Duplicate the background layer, then go to Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation (or Ctrl+U)

Byte size: ZERO | Content warning: NOT AN IMAGE

From the Edit drop-down, Select Master. Set the Hue slider to around -170 and the Saturation slider to around +20

Byte size: ZERO | Content warning: NOT AN IMAGE

Go to Image>Adjustments>Brightness/Contrast - bump up the contrast a little (say +15)

Byte size: ZERO | Content warning: NOT AN IMAGE

Lastly, Image>Adjustments>Auto Levels (or Shift+Ctrl+L)

This is the before

IMAGE NOT FOUND
Byte size: ZERO | Content warning: NOT AN IMAGE

And after less than 2 minutes in PS:

IMAGE NOT FOUND
Byte size: ZERO | Content warning: NOT AN IMAGE

Just another idea to keep you experimenting :)
