I'm impressed. Even Reuters uses the best camera for the pros...

OH yeah that camera... :rolleyes:I'm just disturbed that an article on Reuters would allow the word pix to be used repeatedly....

It's because it's not a news article, but a blog post. I agree though, they should keep a "normal" language...

This (external link) is an interesting book to read if you're at all interested in the history of railroading. It's a very detailed history of the first transcontinental railroad. Considering the difficulties they faced back then, it's absolutely remarkable they were able to build it.

Thanks Chief, I put a hold on it at the library.

Blog or no blog come on... it's Reuter's for cripes sake, there ought to be some example of quality langauge. It's almost as if we're losing the idea that formal language has a place...

G'moo

How many of you have seen the TV show "Monk"?

If you have, then you'll probably know why I, in my whole life, have never tasted any type of fondue.

Oh, yeah? Name one that you've actually spent any amoun of time at that you haven't conquered!
.

you know, that was a very nice thing to say. I'm afraid macro will defeat me though. I just shake too much.

Damn. I just got an email from the photographer I was on the motorsport workshop with this weekend and he got 2-3 spots available for assistants on several races over the summer. Very tempting to jump on one of them.

(its non-paid so shhhhh don't tell anybodu in the business forum)

DO IT!!

I watch Monk on a fairly regular basis....but I don't get the fondue connection.

As for the shake...that is what tripods are for.;)

Had to think about it - I suppose it's dipping your bread into the same pot that other people have been dipping theirs, with the forks they've been eating it from.

And in addition to tripods there are monopods.

oh gads I forgot about the forks too!!

I've got both. I really would like a lighter weight tripod for that sort of thing. I think it'd work well.
