I got the score back this afternoon (they have a lot of help in the history department) 101.5/102! OH YEAH! Is that the best you could do? -David

It works neater when you have it in full screen mode. Then you just use it with Mac Spaces so you can swap from one screen to another. You can share your User part of your mac with the Parallels machine. I've only started playing with it, so I'm sure there's other things you can do with it. That is really cool. Even if I dislike windows. Enjoy it Pete! -Turk- Blog

None that I can recall at the moment, but I'm sure that I could find some given the time. ![]() "Without rain" hardly equates to "dry", especially when it merely means sleet, mist or fog instead . . . We pay $800 a month for a 950 Square foot three bedroom, two bath house and the two rentals (two bedroom, one bath) we manage go for $900 a month. This is all well below market levels for San Diego. The two-bedroom, one bath house next door is up for rent and the owner is asking $1475 a month. She hasn't gotten any takers yet that I'm aware of. belmondo wrote in post #5391051 Me too. I haven't really touched a horn for roughly 45 years. I still own a very valuable clarinet, but I'm not sure where it is right now. It was mounted on a tripod the last time I saw it. Sure it's not out the dessert, uh, desert somewhere? timbernet wrote in post #5394840 Don't dis the train nerds - the railroad was the backbone of the nation for many years! And may be again at the rate the airlines are imploding... belmondo wrote in post #5394916 This The railroad is still the undisputed champion at hauling vast quantities of freight in the most cost-effective manner. As fuel costs increase, that fact is going to become even more evident. Stephen Ambrose was one of the best historical writers around. I have a number of his books, including the one about the transcontinental railroad. I was saddened to hear he had passed away. DDA wrote in post #5395030 It's because it's not a news article, but a blog post. I agree though, they should keep a "normal" language... The AP actually publishes a "Style Book" for news writing. Permagrin wrote in post #5395599 I do. I don't eat food in public that requires fingers (i.e. ribs, corn on the cob, chicken) unless it's possible to cut them with a knife and fork. I don't eat sandwiches in public unless I'm really comfortable (or have no other choice) with my company. I have weird food issues...fondue is just in the list. I'm just the opposite... I'll eat anything, anywhere, anytime. Heather says I'll eat anything that doesn't eat me first... You've heard of the "ten-second rule" usually invoked when a food item falls on the floor? Well, I observes a ten-minute rule... Jon wrote in post #5396301 Frys = Computer & electronics chain stores. I avoid Fry's like the plague...I don't know about the stores in other locales but the one here is staffed by a bunch of people, most of whom are wearing clothes that don't fit, that know little or nothing about the products they are trying to sell. If I buy something there, it's because I've already done my research about a product elsewhere and am going to Fry's for the best price. John

The only real expense I had, other than the tickets was the cost of renting a tux and a corsage for my date. Dinner was included the event and I drove my date and another couple to the prom in my parents Volkswagen. Now there's limos and after-prom parties that go on all night and hotel rooms and who knows what else. My feelings when my three step-daughters went to their proms was that it has gotten way out of hand... John

If I buy something there, it's because I've already done my research about a product elsewhere and am going to Fry's for the best price. The store here has a tendency to put returned merchandise right back on the shelf without determining if it is defective or not. I once found a Wacom tablet on the shelf that was missing the most important component (the pen) and it was priced at the original price. I called it to the attention of a salesperson and got shrugged shoulders in response. We don't have any near us, so I don't need to avoid them. However, you're not the only person I've heard that from. Aside from the regular Big Box stores, closest we have is Micro Center. I'm more likely to order serious stuff from Newegg anyhow. Jon
