I would have liked to find a beter angle. But i was a bit limited as all I had was the 1-4 and the nifty. And I couldn't just leave the 1-4 on the monopod on the floor to go around trying to find the best angle ;-)a

I liked it :)

gaaaah....I'm tired today. I haven't slept well since I got back from the desert...the weather is playing h3%% with my old bones! It's actually really supposed to snow this weekend

Snow? That's really sad. But we've had 70's during the day and 30's at night. Plants are so confused.

yeah, the weather report said to cover all tender plants because we're getting a very cold front that is nothing like spring, more like mid-winter (that's what the report said...made me laugh at it's verbosity), rolling in here on Friday.

I just got back from Pro Photo. I intended to purchase the 190XB with 488RC head, but found the 190 a little short for me... I'm 6' 1".... so I got the 055XB instead. They are having a 10% off sale on tripods and heads this month.

Good call, Mike. I'm short, 5'2" and that's the truth. So, the 190XB works well for me. It would not work that well for you.

I was also tempted... to get the 055 MF3, but it was $150.00 more. After 10 minutes of inner debate, common sense won out.:)

Serves people right for buying annuals this early in the season... We see it all the time people don't understand why we don't open until the first week of May, we get a couple nice days and people want to buy flowers... only to have them die off because the nights are still cold.

really it's the secret for living in the valley...everyone who's spent most of their lives here (my grandparents/mom did) knows "don't plant til mother's day". But those that moved over from the coast forget that the mild weather doesn't move with them.
