really it's the secret for living in the valley...everyone who's spent most of their lives here (my grandparents/mom did) knows "don't plant til mother's day". But those that moved over from the coast forget that the mild weather doesn't move with them.

Yea, or up from the South ;). I have built us a small group of clients in Redmond (Bailey's mum and some of her friends ) And most of those are special order baskets, but they don't even think about flowers until late late May or mid-June.

today I have 3 (really 4) things that I need to be doing

1. process desert photos
2. work on logo
3. continue working on migrating gallery over to zenfolio

(4 is laundry and that is a must so no "opt outs" on that one...)

thus far I've done none of the above...I've GOT to get moving.

Think it's too early for a lunch break?

Question for the film people...
Go here: http://www.platonphoto.com/interview/ (external link)

Click on the Motorola video... he is shooting color with his MF camera... and developing on location (like proofs)...

I thought Jon or someone said that color film was harder to develop and needed a very specific time/temperature, etc, etc... Or was that just for a certain type of color film?

Color Slide film is a PITA to develop. C-41 is very similar to BW (as far as I understand it at least)

Isn't there a Smugmug to Zenfolio migration tool on the ZF website?

Printing color is harder than BW though, just because you can't use any safelights to align paper etc, it has to be COMPLETELY dark.

Nice stuff, Permie! Did you shoot that lamp post along the gorge somewhere? It looks vaguely familiar...

the books are very boring
the movies are good the first few times but not the type of thing i would watch all the time
but im looking forward to the start of your new set of comics it will be great like gear wars is.

I first read the books years ago and re-read them every two or three years. The movies are what all us Tolkien fans have been waiting for for decades...

Hehe, remember I have an Australian sense of humour, you may not get my jokes.. :p

Are you familiar with the HM Bark Endeavour replica that is now at the National maritime Museum in Sidney? I had the opportunity to crew on her for a week when she made her around-the-world-tour in the late 1990's. Once I figured out what language they were speaking, I found all the humour went right over my head. Someone would tell a joke and everyone else would laugh. I'd be going "Huh?"
