the books are very boring
the movies are good the first few times but not the type of thing i would watch all the time
but im looking forward to the start of your new set of comics it will be great like gear wars is.
I first read the books years ago and re-read them every two or three years. The movies are what all us Tolkien fans have been waiting for for decades...

Are you familiar with the HM Bark Endeavour replica that is now at the National maritime Museum in Sidney? I had the opportunity to crew on her for a week when she made her around-the-world-tour in the late 1990's. Once I figured out what language they were speaking, I found all the humour went right over my head. Someone would tell a joke and everyone else would laugh. I'd be going "Huh?"
