I got this new lightbox I want to try as well. I may set up my studio in the living room. Funny, got a call from a friend who is a designer. She wants to make out house beautiful. I've got enough photo paper and junk lying around for what I do that the idea of organizing it is laughable. But she can try. Coming over on Thursday.

Lisa:

That's a darned shame about the 100-400. I don't know why you seem to have so much trouble with that particular lens. I've owned two copies, and they both worked fine. The one I'm using now was dropped, and had to be repaired by Canon. Before the repairs, it would still autofocus....it was the manual focus ring that was stuck. Otherwise the thing was working perfectly.

Just out of curiosity, have you tried it on another body? I'm wondering if maybe there is some kind of issue going on with the micro adjustment setting on your Mk III.

Get togethers! How fun!

Maureen and that bunch are getting together today in Monterey. I'm really sorry to be missing it, but it's just too far for a one-day trip, and the logistics of going away overnight are too daunting with the cat, etc. Also, with the current price of gas, that's about a $200 trip in the truck, and that's tough to justify merely for the pleasure of having lunch with some freinds.

Originally we were going to be in the Bay Area this weekend, but those plans were scrapped a couple days ago. We would have been only a couple hourse drive from Monterey. Instead, it looks like I'll be home rearranging the furniture in my office and waiting for the cable technician to figure out why my reception is so bad. Yuck.

Waiting for Comcast is like, waiting at the dentist for the shot. Oh, I feel for you. They charged me real money the last time they came. I swore once the whole digital reception thing happened, I would stop the cable service. I seriously pay around $170 for my internet and cable services. That's just wrong.

I pay $29.00 per month for internet service with good enough speed for my needs... 4350 kb/s down load and 408 kb/s upload on my last speed test. I use Direct TV satellite service and pay $62.00 per month. Comcast seems kind of expensive.

Looks like the soccer fields are open today! Darn it! But I get to play with the 1-4 on the sidelines. Should be a good one! I'll post later.

We pay just under $200/month, but that includes cable, internet, and our primary telephone service, too. We have 3 HD cable boxes (including one DVR), and the service is just okay. Every once in a while we get some tiling on the HD channels, and they don't seem able to sort that out.Today they're going to look into installing an amplifier of some sort to boost the signal. At least they're not charging for the service call.

We're with Time-Warner.

The fields should be nice and wet today, but I'm shooting anyway. And I am wearing shorts, just have to add the sunscreen bug spray to the legs and arms. I'll wear my hat. High is 77. Yes, it's beautiful. My whole back yard is shady until around noon. The back of the house, where the kitchen and family room are never sees sunlight until midday. Very comfy. But a lot of cleaning today, I fear.

Tom, I get the feeling you must have cute knees. :)

Ok, I am forcing myself to use my camera more even with all the work I am doing... I am going to take pictures everyday! I don't need to go anywhere special, there is lots of neat stuff around the house I decided.

Anyways, here are a couple from today.

This show is gorgeous! I love the clouds in the upper let corner. I think they really add something to the image. :D Well done.

Have fun cleaning and shooting Suzie! Two friends from school, Natalie, and I are heading south to the great sand dunes nat'l park today. Too bad you arent still here!!! We're just going to have fun. They actually need images for projects in class. I am just going to go haha. My stuff is done.

Thanks, those clouds were the main reason that I shot at such a wide angle. I am glad you liked it :).
