I have been using these occassionally for a while now with 550 Speedlites. Lastolite claim only half a stop of light loss but I decided to test them the other day as I was beginning to doubt this. The results were (with front diffuser fitted only, not using internal one):
without Ezybox - f8 at 8 ft ISO 100
with Ezybox - f4.5 at 8ft ISO 100
That is more like two stops, has anyone else found this or have mine just got the wrong front diffuser?
I also sent Lastolite an email of complaint a month or so ago about how flimsy the mounting ring assembly is and that I had to permanently screw it to the bracket to stop it bending all the time, but they didn't see fit to reply.
TIA
Dave
