Purchasing Cameras in Korea

Has anyone ever bought a digital camera in south korea and brought back to uk?
I am thinking about buying a compact when I am out there (maybe an ixus or an optio) and want to know if there will be any problems with spec. i.e language, voltage etc.

More likely problems with the price ... unless you buy a Korean camera (Samsung, ...)

But maybe you don't want to do that.

I don't know if it's true, but I've heard prices are not that great in Korea (compared to other places in the far east ).
However they must be better than the UK.

Anyway I believe the electricity supply is 220/60 hz as opposed to 220/50 here.

Obviously the plug will not fit a UK socket. ( Buy a travel plug.)

The manual will be in Korean. ( Download a manual from the manufacturers website.)

With the mighty dollar still falling against the pound a cheap flight to New York is the best way to do your Christmas shopping.
