Was just wondering which of the above Canon Multiplier's people would recommend, I am looking to use it mainly with the Canon 70-200 F2.8L (looking to buy that lens at the same time)

The 2X causes significant image degradation, a dark viewfinder, and a loss of 2 stops. One World, One Voice Against Terror,

I have both the 1.4x and 2x Canon converters and seldom use the 2x with my 70-200mm IS lens because of the degradation of the image. To get an acceptable image, stopping down 2 stops to f/11 is necessary - Not really useful without a bright sky. The 2x is only slightly better than re-sampling to a larger size from 280mm IMHO.
