100mm. Expensive but worth it, Ive heard more positive feedback about this than the 105mm. But if your on a budget then i suggest the 105mm.

Both are excellent.

Both are tack sharp, but the 100 its AF is way faster. So you can use it as a med-tele for sports and portraits.

Another vote for the Canon...very sharp and USM. I believe the Sigma 105 extends while focusing...the Canon does not.

Sigma 150 for roughly the same price as the Canon 100.

The 105 doesn't even have HSM. The decision should be between the 100 and 150 and I've heard plenty of positives about the 150.

Optically, they are essentially indistinguishable. They both have fantastic image quality. The Canon has better autofocus, and that may be important to you if you use it for non-macro shooting as well.

Never used the canon but heard nothing but good review about it. The sigma does a great job. For me the extra £100 went towards a flash.

Its a difficult choice.

I think I could cut myself on the sharpness from either, so dont compare based on IQ.

Its more about AF.

The 2.8 is the one you'd want. I had mine for a while...only sold it because I wanted something with a little more reach, and the Canon 180L was out of budget at the time. I picked up a Sigma 150 macro and its every bit as sharp as the Canon 100/2.8. Doesn't focus as fast as the Canon, but I'm almost always using MF when shooting macros anyway.
