Iowa State Softball

Finally got out on a nice day to get some photography in, shot this game with fellow POTN member Wesley Winterink. Nice and sunny which may for some not-so-nice shadows, however the biggest problem was winds 30-40 mph which was blowing everything around.

Reds seam a bit over saturated to me.

look pretty good, please tell me the clones beat the huskers? I used to goto ISU

When shooting the pitcher position yourself on the other side of home plate. This way you will get more of the face. Also try to get the arm at the 12 oclock position or just when the pitcher is releasing the ball.

My partner and I shoot lots of college softball. Some comments: #4 - no ball & eyes closed - dump. #7 = eyes closed - dump. Otherwise, pretty good!

I wish ball was there in the pictures.

Thanks for the comments thus far. First softball game of the year, plus the winds of 40 mph didn't make for an ideal first game.

deadpass, yes they won after having a huge 6th inning to blow them out (13-4?).

Hey Jayson. How is it going? Nice captures. The reds look fine on my calibrated monitor. I really like the first one. Those are hard to get the timing down. Since school is getting close to over we are going to have to plan some shoots.

Thanks Doc... I plan on being back home on the 8th of May; but that is still kind of in the air as I'll be doing a research project with ISU until approx. May 20th...

Either way we'll definitely have to plan some stuff out!
