I'm sure this question has arisen before. I recently moved and seemed to have lost in the move the software disk that came with the PowerShot A570 IS I bought late last year. When I go online to try to find out how to download the software, it seems that you cannot just download that software. You can buy updates, but the updates assume that the previously supplied software is in the computer. So can someone suggest how I might buy the Canon Digital Camera Solution Disk for the Powershot A570 IS? Many thanks.

Call Canon support, find out if it can be replaced. Ask if newer versions of the CD-ROM are compatible (they almost certainly are) and which version you would need. Then go buy one on eBay for $10.

I don't think you need an specific disk for the A570IS. The Canon CD software is pretty generic ZoomBrowser + Camera Window. PM me if you don't find it from someone near you, maybe I can help you.

The camera I wish: EOS 40D... I am saving for it (thanks addarr for the advice).
