hi folks
i am looking to buy a dedicated macro lens been reading about the canon 100 and sigma 105 , i would greatly appreciate if any one with these lens post some shots for me to have a look at, i want to manly do bugs and flower shots i have canon 20d and 400d

I posted some midge shots today all taken with the Canon 100mm and you will see many and better shots in this forum taken with both lenses. I would say that with either lens you definitely need a set of extension tubes as well if you intend to tackle smaller subjects as 1:1 wont cut it.

all these lens shot at 1:1 i very much doubt u would see the difference in the final pics...get the canon 100mm..your love it..sigma is unreliable.i had sigma 50mm and sigma ring flash..both broke and had to go to the repair shop..

Here in the -=Lens Sample Images Archive=- there is -= Archive EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM - pros & cons which has photos taken with the 100mm f/2.8.
You can also try a search as many of the macro photos posted over the years are taken with the 100mm f/2.8
