Ok, I have been contacted to do a "glamor type" session with a client, young lady who was involved in a motorcycle accident 4 yrs ago. I do not know the extent of details or exactly WHAT I will be dealing with or her circumstances, other than her therapist suggested she get some glamor portraits done to help boost her confidence in herself, to see her true beauty. I feel confident that I can capture her true self and beauty, but what would anyone suggest I use, as far as any props, like feather boas, etc.? I've not done anything like this and want to make it right for her. ANY help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Shoot is for this coming Monday. Thanks ya'll!

glamour is like makeup - you want to find out first her personality and what she enjoys, and work off that. is she in a wheelchair or anything? worry more about giving flattering poses that are w/in her physical limits instead of the props (feather boas etc), and focus more on making her feel good about herself when she sees the pics :)

finally getting the 85mm f1.2 II DREAM LENS!
but now i want a power pack and go portable!

Three tips...

Use Paramount or Butterfly lighting
Use lots of diffusion - either in shooting or post processing
Use makeup style designed for photography - not makeup for street use.

Do a Google search using "Makeup for glamour photography" as the search parameters.

here is one good hit from that type of search:

There are lots more......
