Pelcian 1514 is the largest size that will fit as a carry on in most cases and it has the padded dividers too. $149 I believe from bhphotovideo.com

I have a peli 1600 for my lights. For airline carry-on, I have a Think Tank Airport Int'l...love it.

Slow

The Pelican 1514 is ideal for air travel. I fly with mine extensively, domestically and internationally. At around $150 at Adorama or B&H the case is a bargain.

If you check www.flyingwithfish.com (external link) and search "1514" you can find various detailed posts, with photos, on using this case as a photog.

I have a 1550 with foam. Unfortunately, no wheels. But a light, fold up cart takes it and the laptop quite well. And get foam. The dividers protect your stuff. But with foam, you can throw it off the roof and only have a few scrtches on the outside of the case. Can't do that with dividers.

I got the 1510 for travel ... does a great job. I like the foam but I ain't intending varying my travel stuff that much. I woulda got the dividers otherwise.
