Nice I looked up to the top to see what the shutter speed was, for that glowing effect from the luminescence. Looking at the sweephand though it's obviously a couple of seconds.

The rare hand made Pascal Coyon. The movement finishing is outstanding.

I would recommend it if you can find one with a discount. The pricing and Pedigree of this piece cannot be matched by any brand today. Luxury watches today are seriously over priced but today by comparison have not inflated their prices in following the founder’s intent for the brand. The designs in recent years have pushed the brand forward in desirability.

Yes, a Speedmaster Moonwatch is one of the best money can buy if you can get the right model. Unfortunately there are too many variations. If you do get one, make sure its the original model with winding movement. I shot one in this thread early at the start. Unfortunately as well - in new condition, they are now listed at nearer USD$4000.

Cheers

ive got the Speedmaster Professional "moon watch" with the display back. i wonder what it might be worth. its in beautiful condition although i had to replace the mainspring. kind of bummed me out because i never wind it 100% (i dont wear it more than 3-4 times every couple of months...

i have my grandfathers Hamilton that is probably one notch (or two notches) down in "fancy" from this watch. stem wind, but the crystal needs to be unscrewed to set the time...

im not sure of the vintage. he worked for the Grand Trunk Western from the mid-late 20s until the mid-60s...

I took the photo I’m my garage with most of the lights off. Used ~4 second exposure and flashed the watch with my speedlight just before taking the shot to really make the lume glow bright.
