Hi All, wanted to give positive inputs for those who had been submitting. They are wonderful captures!

If you would like some input on how to make them better, I think some photographers could try using matrix exposure metering. Especially those shooting out in the open sun. Unfortunately there are blown out highlights that hopefully could be saved if you shot with RAW and expose for the overall frame. The subject could be darker but adjusted in post production to avoid the burned out highlights.

I just discovered that this thread has been active for 10 years (with over half a million views)! The journey as an early Zoo shooter to so many enthusiasts has been so rewarding personally. I still love photographing animals and will continue to do so at my local Zoo and any zoos I visit overseas.

If anyone has any recommendations on how Zoo photography can be positively encouraged, developed or improved on, do share it here!
