Amazing find...

I was at the Botanic Gardens early this morning for a morning walk and I brought with me my 5D2 and 100-400L.

A couple found this reptile and I was about 15-20 feet away from it. This chap is over 3 feet long. Its clearly a monitor lizard of some kind but its strikingly similar to the Komodo Dragon that I photographed at the zoo. These animals are predator scavengers. I was very surprised to find it at the local park. It can be a danger to unattended babies and small dogs. Plan to copy the authorities these photos.

These are the most noisy photos I have ever seen from a 5D2.
Were they heavily under exposed before post-processing?
