Almost ever Ape/Chimp photo I see is either a headshot or an odd full body scene. This one is so great because you included the hand, which I think is so cool to see. The expression is nice and the simple background all make it a great shot!!!

Photographing my above birds of prey in captivity was an opportunity to try the digiscoping in vogue among a handful of birders :
they combine with a fixed lens digital camera (digiscoping) or interchangeable lens digital camera (DLRS-digiscoping)
the totally waterproof spotting scope with its multicoated lenses already in their possession as an improvised manual focus telephoto lens,
to make images from a very significant distance from the animal with the concern to minimize any risk of disturbance to (almost) nothing.

The details of the finest feathers give a particularly good account of the optical quality in this field...
