This chameleon does not look pleased that I spotted it in the tree. The colours are stunning as it closely matches the tones of the branches and leaves.

African Painted Dog puppies. Only a couple of weeks old and they are out in the open frolicking and causing a lot of ruckus and mother a lot of problems. Even though they are in the enclosures and not being threatened in any way, the mother could not rest keeping an eye out for puppies.

I just became the proud owner of my first Fuji camera - an X-T4 - well, actually I technically own two, but the other one is stuck in a logistics centre in Australia, celebrating its third week there!

I am totally new to the brand, and the interface takes a bit of getting used to. I have several lens options: the native 16-80mm (in transit), the very new Tamron 18-300 (as a go-anywhere lens) and I have the Canon EF to Fuji X mount adapter, so I can use pretty much any of my large menagerie of EF lenses.

In the meantime, in my first day of using it, I went to the zoo to see how things would work out with the Tamron lens. Here are a couple of shots from my first efforts, but I must admit the menu system leaves me scratching my head a bit...

A male Channel Billed Toucans (Ramphastos Vitellinus). The male has longer and larger beak than the females and more white in its plumage.
