I will re read the book again but both pages indicate the same thing, I think.

Anyway the consensie of opinion is that mode 1 is normal
and Mode 2 is panning, that makse sence to me from every topic other then Canon I read.

Glad you got it all sorted out now. Now, this is where I would ordinarily tell you to take that new lens out and shoot a couple of pictures to show us but if your weather is anything like what we're having here in Pennsylvania, you would probably come back wet and soggy! :D

I went out yesterday Leo, thats why the question, it didn't seem right, I can't beleive I read it wrong but hey maybe it a senior moment.

The problem is it was a dark and cloudy, so I had to punch up the ISO. But my three paning shots onmlly 1 came out so so.
