Again just seeing which if any of these these VERY begginner photos you guys think would be ok to use in a portfolio I'm trying to put together at least for now until I get some other better ones. These were actually my SIL's quince pictures I did for her last year but thought they'd pass off as senior pics. What do you guys think???

Your portfolio should represent your best work, so it is hard to say if these should be in yours since I haven't seen the body of your work. If you think these represent your best work then include them. You can replace them as your skills develop.

well they definitely don't represent my best work since I still didn't know what I was doing, but I havn't done any other senior shoots... should I just wait to use the ones from my session on Tuesday? I'm doing my step sisters senior pics... so I guess I could wait... I'm just wondering if these are any good or good enough to put in there for now? would any of you put any of these in yours?

Since you are better now I wold suggest you use recent ones. Sometimes when I need to build an area of my portfolio I use a casting call or start asking everyone I know if they want to participate and get a few free photos.

not a lot of gear, but I have endless amounts of energy!

I think that would be the 15th birthday. Many people of South American heritage hold a big celebration for a girl's 15th or 16th birthday.

Always happy to hear some critique

IMO, #10 and #11 are probably the best of the bunch as far as lighting and composition go, #3 for a BW would work well too. Good luck on the shoot!

Thank you guys! Yes it's short for quincenera which is the 15th year celebration... like introducing the girl into her womanhood. Since she's american she wanted to mix traditions though so she had it on her 16th birthday. It was a lot of fun. I wish I had known how to take pictures better then and I would have had more pictures of the actual celebration.
