I love having dreams about photography.
Last night I had a dream that I got a 30D with a 70-200 f/4 L (My first DSLR Kit I would like but most likely wont be able to afford.) Well then I went ghost hunting with it at a house and when the ghost came at me, I hit it with the L Glass! Ha, you guys give me bad idea's.

... When you meet a ghost in your dreams, but you must change from your Tamron to your L lens to hit the apparition into oblivion.

I do have photography dreams as well. A few nights ago, a bitter photographer from the competing rag appeared in my dream, asking me to join his team -Emperor style- and I remember holding tight onto my camera and saying Noooooo!!- ...

And no, contrary to my title, I am no user or abuser of controlled substances or opiates.

when you take your camera into the bathroom....
this is the hand dryer...
ok ok it is an 8th grade class teip...LOL
but the looks you get taking photos in the bathroom!!!

...You rationalize a lens consideration with, "but it's under $3k!"

you rationalise a lens consideration with "but i WANT it" and that turns out to be the closing argument (with yourself of course)

Maybe that's the real reason Jim Bakker had an air-conditioned doghouse at his home in Palm Springs. He had to sleep there after arguments with Tammy Faye.

I've never owned a Leica, I've never lusted after a Leica... but for some reason I had a vivid dream last night that someone loaned me a very shiny silver Leica rangefinder with 50/1.0 Noctilux. Seriously... it is strange to have equipment in a dream that you don't own and don't have any overwhelming interest in owning.

And in the dream, I lost it. My friend was not happy.

The dream is telling you to NOT loan your 5D and 85 f/1.2 to the friend who will be asking soon.

You've seen Tammy Faye, yes? I'd be spending the night in the doghouse by default!

Whaddya mean?!! Revlon LOVED her!

Besides, Ol' Jim didn't win any prizes!

And speaking of photographically crazy, how would you have liked to have been Tammy Faye's press photographer, charged with making her look good?!! Now there's a test of skill!!!

You spend more..

When you spend more on a camera bag than you did on your first "professional" camera and when you have as much invested in camera gear as you paid for your first house.

When you've hit rock bottom, and you are wondering how much you could get for your bed and favorite t-shirt, while your camera gear sits intact in the closet.

you go to a football game and you catch the game through the lens hoping to get a good shot!

And you care more about how your photos turn out than the result!
