In 40 yrs, I have never seen a picture of one sitting still. Nice capture.

Very nice shot. For those who have hummingbird feeders up, look around at your shrubs and trees near the feeder some time when the hummer isn't actually at the feeder. I'll bet you will find him perched on a nice little comfortable twig not too far from and in plain sight of the feeder. The males don't share, and he will be sitting close to his feeder to guard it and launch out to attack any other hummers stealing a sip. ;)

Check my gallery for hummers. I have lot's of shots of them guarding the feeder from a twig or stick I put out for them to perch on.
