I know it's personal preference but do you use the * button to focus or focus with the shutter button for landscapes ? I always use * button since I mainly shoot sports.

That's the way I use my 20D 100% of the time. It separates the focus and metering functions instead of having both activated anytime I press the shutter release button halfway. I have to agree with you... After reading from others that this feature "*" is so nice to have turned on, I tried it for 2 weeks. I just find the whole idea very awkward to deal with. I set my metering, then before taking the picture I press the "*" to gain focus, then press the shutter button .... It just feels way to 'busy' for me to accomplish something already there in the shutter button. ---------------
