I am looking for a decent lens for indoor (hockey) and night time (baseball, soccer) sports. How well does the 200 2.8 fit the bill? Will the 2.8 be fast enough?

Of course, your results may vary.. but you can go 3200iso with your 20D, I have an XTi.

The 7-2 f2.8, 7-2 f2.8 IS, and 135+1.4x can't touch it.

You don't take a photograph. You ask, quietly, to borrow it.
