For a sports shot (youth track & field) which do you prefer, black & white or color? BTW, yes, I know there's stuff on the track I can clean up and there's somebody in the BG I can remove and there's even a thread hanging from her shorts. ... Those are all easy for me to fix. I'm looking for opinions regarding BW vs. color for this type of shot.

All CC is always welcome.

Here's another, in color, prior to transfering batton (hand-held @ 400 mm):

color and get yourself a monopod because that is way to out of focus (last one, not the first two).

^^^^^ Yep, I should have brought my pole. They wouldn't let us onto the field, so I was shooting from about 90 yards away, behind the fence. ... That's a long way to shoot hand-held @ 400mm. I thought I could get away with it, but obviously not. I was able to get a few (like the first) very sharp, but I had to take a DEEP breath !!

Here's another, where I rested the camera against the top rail of the fence. Still hand-held, but definitely better.
