Spent part of the morning at an antique farm equipment show, and took my camera (why else go?) I noticed this example of how farm boys will hotrod almost anything sitting around.

Actually I'm sure that the modifications are for tractor pulls, but the idea is the same.

its def. a tractor puller, not really a tractor anymore in the usual sense, more of a dragster now.

Man we used to have tractor pulls even out here on the East Coast,. with big draws!

They turned into the monster Car Crusher shows in the '80s but it's the same people and organizations.
"Nitro Burning Funny Cars!!!!!!!!!!!! SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!"

Anyone remember "Art Arfonse" ? :lol:

When I was in college I worked for a steel warehouser, one of there customers rebuilt lawn tractors for tractor pulls. Once when making a delivery of steel they offered me the opportunity to take one of there Nitro methane burning modifications for a test drive. There just ain't no way I am going to get on a 100+ horse power nitro methane burning lawn tractor, then or now. But there are those who do, and think it is fun.
