Chops, I have used every camera in Canons digital eos line except for the d30.
The 1Ds is pretty slow compared to the 1d II.

The 1D Mark II will make your existing lenses perform to a new standard and improve your sports shots immensely, but on the other hand the 500/4 will get you wildlife pictures you only dreamed of... difficult choice indeed...
