I'm looking to get a long aluminum pole.. possibly 14ft, but cut it into sections because it wont be able to fit in my car. How long are your poles? How do you provide structural rigidity to prevent bouncing? thanks in advance. I have 16 feet I'm working with, cut into 4 section. I actually also have 8 extra feet.. don't ask me why.. lol.... But virtually no bouncing. [5Dmk3] [EF 35 f/1.4 L] [EF 24-70 f/2.8 L] [EF 70-200 (IS) f/2.8 L] [EF 85 f1.2 II L]

Have not seen any mention of using carbon fiber tubes for the extension pole. Has anyone tried it? I would think that you would get less flex and be just as strong as aluminum tubes. Also, if anyone has any detailed under car mount plans, could you PM me? 5DMk1, 60D, 17-40L, 24-105L, 100-400L, Tamron 90mm macro, nifty-fifty, 70-210, Panasonic G1, 14-45, 45-200 www.endshot.com
