playing with one of the rigshots i didn't really like on CS5 that i installed today, content aware is pretty useful, although it is not perfect but it still does a great job... still require some touch up tho

Has anyone ever tried using electro magnets and clamps to attached under car rigs?
Just something I was thinking about during work today

hey rigshot gurus,

I've got a 10ft stainless steel pole but it's not nearly long enough for good shots. I'm looking to get a long aluminum pole.. possibly 14ft, but cut it into sections because it wont be able to fit in my car. How long are your poles? How do you provide structural rigidity to prevent bouncing?

thanks in advance.

I have 16 feet I'm working with, cut into 4 section. I actually also have 8 extra feet.. don't ask me why.. lol.... But virtually no bouncing.

I started reading this thread yesterday and am about half way through it. Have not seen any mention of using carbon fiber tubes for the extension pole. Has anyone tried it? I would think that you would get less flex and be just as strong as aluminum tubes. Also, if anyone has any detailed under car mount plans, could you PM me?

CF Poles are BLOODY expensive, at least when I looked into this months ago.

Rich, nice rig! Are the clamps from automotiverigs.com? Also, how did you find the joint/hinge?

Yes the clamps are from AR.... the poles were off ebay and the connecters were made by a machinist to mine/my dads drawings

QUOTED IMAGE

Not bad, would look better if you had the entire car in focus and cloned out the item in the sky. Try a higher fstop next time.
